Managing Configuration Settings

Under the Configuration App, Settings is the primary feature allowing staff to manage administrator settings impacting all areas of the site. Settings accessible within this feature are arranged in sections related to the area of the system affected.

Sections within the Settings Feature

Options under the Settings feature are arranged in sections. Click the desired section header to expand options and settings related to that subject. The setting name appears on the left side of the window—the default value for that setting appears under the Default Value column. If any changes have been made to that setting, these can be created and saved under the Actual Value column.

A setting can be deleted by clicking the Clear button next to the Actual Value field. If the setting has been changed from the default, the Reset to Default button will appear. Click Reset to Default to restore a setting to its default value. Save any changes to a section by clicking Save under that section.

Application

Application settings include overarching settings for the functionality or appearance of the entire application, including contact information for the site, system logos, and more.

Always Create Invoice for Bill Me: When the Bill Me option is selected during checkout, the Create Invoice? check box is typically unchecked by default. Setting this feature to "on" by clicking the check box under the Actual Value column causes the Create Invoice? check box to be checked by default. Default Business Unit ID

Has Card Swiper: Clicking this check box causes the Swipe Card button to appear when the Credit Card payment option is selected during the Product Purchase Wizard. Swiping a card using this method automatically fills in the Name on Card and Card Number fields on the Product Purchase form.
